Xarcuteria és Moli
A Taste of Menorca in Sant Lluís – Xarcuteria és Moli
One of my favorite spots in Sant Lluís is a hidden gem of a deli, lovingly run by Monica — a true connoisseur who takes the time to explain every cheese on offer, from local Menorcan specialties to refined French classics. Xarcuteria és Moli is a treasure trove of island cheeses (Mahón curado is a must), alongside silky French varieties that add a touch of joie de vivre.
And then there are these delicious artisanal salamis, melt-in-your-mouth prosciutto, and a selection of beautifully paired bottles of wine – everything you need for a perfect picnic, a relaxed aperitivo, or an effortlessly elegant dinner.
Her selection is as vast as it is tempting, but don’t worry: Monica insists you taste before you choose.
Her passion for quality is unmistakable. The shelves are brimming with
0 km fruit and vegetables sourced directly from nearby farms — fresh, seasonal, and full of flavor. It’s farm-to-fork, Menorca style.
Xarcuteria és Moli makes you connect with the land, with the island. And with the stories behind every ingredient. So if you’re wandering the whitewashed streets of Sant Lluís and find yourself craving something special, follow your nose — it might just lead you to Xarcuteria és Moli… A place where food doesn’t shout — it sings.
I often describe Coque’s studio as my “safe place” on the island. It’s where I come to ground myself, to reset, to simply be. I always leave her massages feeling weightless, as if I’m floating just a little above the ground.
But perhaps the most telling testament to Coque’s skill came when my son drove all the way from Sweden to Menorca. With him came his enormous dog, a broken car window (which didn’t help the bitter cold), and the price of long hours behind the wheel: a painfully stiff neck and serious back problems.
It was Coque who brought him back to life. Without her, I doubt he would have been able to enjoy his time on the island at all. Since then, not only has he become a fan—but so have my friends and the rest of my family. Coque has become our healer, in the truest sense of the word.
What I love most, though, is her calm, friendly way. Her openness. The moment you step into her world, you feel welcome. At home.
