Camí de Cavalls

Hiking with my friend ...

One sunny day, my girlfriend and I decided to go hiking in the Camí de Cavalls. We chose the route from Binimel-Là to Cala Tirant, so there we were, all equipped, close to the starting point. I must admit that once you’ve found the right starting point, it’s quite easy to follow the paths, as they are very well marked. But of course no adventure is complete without a bit of chaos to keep things interesting – that’s how we roll. A wrong turn marked the start of our escapade and set the tone for a journey full of unexpected detours and laughs.

The landscape and turquoise waters unfolded before us, inviting us to stop and take in the natural splendour.

An impromptu swim at Platja de Cavalleria added a refreshing twist to our excursion and set the scene for the comic interlude that awaited us.

Our serene stroll was abruptly interrupted by a group of curious black goats, who eyed us with a mixture of suspicion and intrigue.

We exchanged nervous glances, keeping our voices low so as not to attract them further. Then we decided to leave the path and work our way around the goats. Trying to navigate around them, my friend got tangled up in a bush, with a goat right behind her, as if it had a personal vendetta against her. I tried to free her from the clutches of the bush without losing sight of the goats. What can I say, these goats were friendly and quite shy. I guess they just couldn’t believe their eyes….

We made it safely to Cala Tirant and couldn’t stop laughing. Another wonderful day on the island, in breathtaking nature, surrounded by beautiful creatures and filled with laughter, it doesn’t get any better than that!
